International Plastic Expo to be held in Hyderabad

The 4-day event starting from August 4, 2023 is expected to generate business of Rs 500 crore, says Telangana and Andhra Plastics Manufacturers Association

Hyderabad Telangana and Andhra Plastics Manufacturers Association (TAAPMA) announced to hold the South and Central India’s biggest exposition, HIPLEX, International Plastic Expo 2023. The four-day event will be held at Hitex Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad from August 4 – 7, 2023.

500 exhibitors from across the world will be showcasing their products on over 20,000 sq mtrs. Process Machinery, Printing and Packaging, Raw Materials, Moulds and Die, Post Processing Equipment, Quality Testing Equipment, Finished Products and R&D related exhibitors will be participating.

“We are expecting the expo to help generate business of Rs 500 crore. We are looking forward to a footfall of nearly 50,000,” Vimalesh Gupta, president, TAAPMA said. The event is supported by the Telangana government, Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology, All India Plastic Manufacturers Association, Organisation of Plastics Processors of India, and Material Recycling Association of India.

With participation from all over the world, Hiplex 2023 will showcase the latest technology and machinery used in the manufacturing of raw materials and various products made of plastics and petrochemicals, informed Anil Reddy Vennam, past president and Spokesperson for the event.

Some of the exhibitors include Shubham Extrusion; Blend Colours, Vinayak Polymers, Shyam Arihant, Uflex, Ari Shyam Additives, Sudhakar Pipes and Fittings, The Shakti Plastic Industries, Blacksmith, Boorugu & Co, ColorPlas, Kalpvrux, Vanguard Chillers and others.

Bioplastics, 3D printing, circular economy, smart plastics, and additive manufacturing are some of the most significant trends and opportunities in the industry, creating new opportunities for growth and innovation. The plastic industry continues to thrive despite all sorts of hardships, said B L Bhandari, Chairman, HIPLEX. The other supporting bodies include the Plastindia Foundation, Indian Plastics Institution, Plastic Technologists, academicians, economists and students; Indian Plastics Federation, and Plastic Manufacturers Associations of Tamil Nadu, Gujarat.
